Backed by his rich experience and in depth knowledge of the brand and the optical sector, Ángel has been very successful in introducing and developing the Afflelou brand in Colombia under the figure of Master Franchise. After successfully founding two companies, he took advantage of a new opportunity to return to the optical sector. On October 9th 2018, he opened his first store in Bogota, followed by Cucuta, then Medellin in 2019. Each benefited from his entrepreneurial vision and the continuing support of the Afflelou Group. It is this combination that has enabled the brand to grow on a global scale. “Today I derive my greatest satisfaction from exercising my profession with care and passion, both administratively and commercially, in view of positioning this brand in Colombia”, he says. Less than 2 years after opening his first store in Bogota, Angel is already supervising 3 stores and is still pursuing major development projects to expand the brand’s presence throughout Colombia!

After two years optical experience in France, I moved to Senegal where I had been hired as optician for an independent store. Few years later and with my optical background, I decided with my partner to open the first ALAIN AFFLELOU shop in Dakar in 2016 and in 2019 the second one. In Senegal, AFFLELOU is not only a store banner, it’s also considered like an international high-end brand. Since the beginning of our partnership with AFFLELOU, we are receiving a permanent and consistent support in marketing-communication tools, legal aspect and business development. Today, we are proud to say that our local awareness is rising thanks to the optical expertise of AFFLELOU banner. For our customers ALAIN AFFLELOU means attention, product quality and confidence.
“Age is no problem as long as you are motivated, professional and enjoy the support of ALAIN AFFLELOU franchisor.” Maxime has already won a number of awards for his business but more importantly has received recognition from his peers. “I’m one of the 15 members elected to the National Committee at Afflelou, I’m already in my second term”. It’s an interesting situation at 30 years of age, knowing that there are still 420 franchisees in the Afflelou Group. At 20 years old, Maxime passed the optical degree and was hired directly by AFFLELOU after his internship. He teamed up with a friend and backed by the unfailing support of his entourage and the Group, he achieved his goal. On the 15th of September 2010, he opened his first store, followed by one in 2012, then 2013, 2017 and finally 2019. Today he is very proud to talk about his structure and his organization managing stores.
After 16 years working in the ALAIN AFFLELOU affiliates, and having always wanted my own business, I finally decided to go for it and open my own franchise.
